Safety Regulations

At HESU Investments, we are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, contractors, visitors, and clients. These safety regulations must be followed at all times across all our operational sites. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in restricted access or disciplinary action.

Personal Safety Rules

  • Always stay alert to crane, forklift, and heavy equipment movements at all times and in any direction.
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited in all operational areas.
  • The use, possession, distribution, or presence under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol is prohibited on company premises, including in vehicles and around equipment.
  • Non-operational staff and visitors must use authorized site guidance personnel for movement inside operational zones.
  • Unauthorized use of mobile phones is banned in operational areas.
  • Do not enter or walk through heavy machinery operation zones or railway tracks.
  • Never stand under suspended or lifting containers.
  • Climbing onto or tampering with container handling or heavy equipment is strictly forbidden.
  • Maintain a safe distance from operating equipment and machinery.
  • Operational zones, storage yards, and gate offices are not to be used as resting areas.

Traffic & Equipment Safety Rules

  • Depot speed limits must be respected at all times:
    10 KPH in sensitive zones (loading/unloading, workshops, gate areas)
    30 KPH on main internal roads
  • Obey all posted traffic signs and designated traffic routes.
  • Heavy equipment and cranes have the right of way. All vehicle operators must yield accordingly.
  • Remain inside your vehicle unless authorized to exit by an operations supervisor.
  • Do not drive under suspended or moving loads.
  • Vehicles must not be parked or stopped in container yards or along railway tracks.
  • All vehicles must be reverse parked in designated areas and should not obstruct traffic.
  • Vehicle repair and maintenance activities are not permitted within operational premises.
  • Use of mobile phones while driving or during service operations is strictly prohibited.

Terminal Access & General Conduct

  • All personnel, including contractors and visitors, must undergo a safety induction before entering the terminal.
  • Visitors are not allowed inside operational zones without authorized escorts.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) helmet, high-visibility vest, and safety shoes must be worn at all times in operational areas.
  • Drivers must remain in their vehicles unless otherwise instructed. Walking within the terminal or operational zones is not allowed.
  • Only vehicles with designated passenger seats and seatbelts may carry passengers.
  • External truck drivers found violating safety rules are subject to access revocation.
  • Be familiar with emergency evacuation routes, assembly points, and exits.
Immediately report any incidents or unsafe conditions to your site supervisor or the HSE Officer.
